A MYSTERY to SOLVE: pt #2

arlo425

Yesterday I posted a photo of the back cushion springs, the upper & lower springs in a pair connected together with an "S-shaped" wire. The photo I am posting in this blog is of the seat cushion springs, of thicker wire, but the same design with the "S-shaped" wire.

Jim & Eleanor Christenson, our buggy & sleigh restorers, owning an upholstery business now for many years, have never before seen seat cushion springs with this particular configuration.

We are hoping someone who happens to read these blogs might know more than we do. We also think that knowing more about these springs might help us better age this Canadian and Russian sleigh.
